Worldwide, there are 10.6 million deaths per year in children younger than age 5 years. Many of these deaths can be avoided if parents and caregivers understand what to do when illness strikes and how to recognize the danger signs that signal the need for medical help.

H C T V aims to educate village folks to improve their health & quality of life, while giving them more control over their health. This project was launched on 09 August 2009 - World Day for Indigenous Peoples.

"Water and Sanitation is one of the primary drivers of public health. I often refer to it as “Health 101”, which means that once we can secure access to clean water and to adequate sanitation facilities for all people, irrespective of the difference in their living conditions, a huge battle against all kinds of diseases will be won." Dr LEE Jong-wook, Director-General, World Health Organization

Of course without clean water, we will not go very far with health education or health care plans. Please visit our sister site C W TV: Clean Water to Villagers
